Description
Problem Definition
When an issue has a lot of work logs on it, it becomes very difficult to quickly see the most recent work logs registered to that issue. The same happens for the comments on an issue, however the comments have a configurable option in the advanced Jira settings to allow you to set the number of minimum comments before Jira will collapse those comments. See https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/disable-comment-auto-collapse-in-jira-432800920.html for details on how that can be configured.
Suggested Solution
It would be great if there was another advanced setting parameter that could be defined in the jira-config.properties file in order to control when to collapse work logs. The example name would be something like
jira.worklog.collapsing.minimum.hidden = 5
Where the value is number of comments that must exist before collapsing occurs
Why this is important
Same reason it happens for comments: too much data on the page for an initial view is not always helpful
