Allow auto complete for fields in Jira to populate search results based on end string of field option/value

This would be helpful for a number of different fields.  However one example of this is in regards to trying to populate a Fix Version in the "Fix Version" field of  a new issue or an existing issue. In this case the list of Fix versions is long and complicated eg. 3.3.0.1.100, 3.3.0.1.101, 3.3.0.1.102. etc.

Ideally we would like to be able to simply enter the last three digits  i.e. 100, 101 etc in the "Fix Version" field of Jira so I can easily pick a particular version as opposed to typing the entire version name i.e. 3.3.0.1.100 

At the moment, the search results in the auto complete of this field do not allow those versions to be returned just by entering 102 or 101 etc for that field.
