      Summary

      At the moment, there isn't any REST API endpoints to generate an xml backup or restore a backup.

            I have voted for this feature. This would really help in automating backups and imports. Currently I want to automate the backup procedure for my Jira Server and I'm stuck.

            Trying my hands on the existing REST API endpoints for JSON kind of backup and import.

            This would be a huge help in the AWS Cloud World. It would allow much easier syncing of testing clones prior to actual production.

            I also vote for this, considering that you can create a backup via API for Jira, we also need the ability to do the same with Confluence.
