Summary
Changing a username in an external directory such as Active Directory will result in the user only being able to log into one node, specifically the node that last synchronized with external directory. The user will not be able to log into all other nodes
Environment
- Jira Data Center with at least 2 nodes
- External directory configured
Steps to Reproduce
- Setup 2 nodes with Jira Data Center
- Configure an external user directory
- Change a username in the external directory
- Synchronize user directory on node 1
Expected Results
The user will be able to log into node 2
Actual Results
The user cannot log into node 2 even after manually synchronizing the external directory on node 2
Workaround
Restart all affected nodes
