Details

    Description

      Short overview

      For a setup with two connected JIRA instances, linked each other, the "Created vs Resolved Chart" gadget in a remote mode (external) rendered graphs, graph elements and description are using different templates and visual style than the local one. It is difficult to compare or analyze connected graphs.

      Expected results

      Both graphs (local and external) should be rendered identically with the same template and visual style.

      Actual Results

      The visual style is totally different, even for the same data used. See final_result.png

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Setup two JIRA nodes
        1. jira1 and jira2 with default sample setup.
        2. connect two nodes with each other by creating an application link:
          1. on jira1: Jira Administration -> Applications -> Application links, Configure Application Links: http://jira2:8080
          2. on jira2: Jira Administration -> Applications -> Application links, Configure Application Links: http://jira1:8080
      2. Create the Dashboard:
        1. Dashboards -> Manage Dashboards -> Create New Dashboard
      3. Create the gadget subscription:
        1. jira1: Add Gadget -> Manage Gadgets -> Subscription, Add a subscription: http://jira2:8080
        2. jira2: Add Gadget -> Manage Gadgets -> Subscription, Add a subscription: http://jira1:8080
      4. Add the local gadget to the Dashboard:
        1. jira1: Dashboards -> Your dashboard name -> Add gadget -> Charts -> Created vs Resolved Chart (By Atlassian * Local)
      5. Add the external gadget to the Dashboard
        1. jira2: Dashboards -> Your dashboard name -> Add gadget -> Load all gadgets -> Charts -> Created vs Resolved Chart (By Atlassian * Local)
      6. Load or create some random data (create a few issues with different states: open, in progress, done etc)
