Summary

Some users are referring Setting properties and options on startup documentation for configuring their JIRA startup variables but still encounter some of the UTF character encoding problem after added the following parameter:

-Dfile.encoding=utf-8

Based on the JIRA Application internationalisation and encoding troubleshooting, it seems like we need to add -Dsun.jnu.encoding=UTF-8 variable to fix it.
