Problem

When an user mentioned another user in a comment field, the mentioned user gets the notification email. However, when that user replies on the notification, there's an inconsistent behaviour in two different JIRA versions. Can someone help to clarify which one is the expected behaviour in this case?

Step to Reproduce

JIRA 6.4

• User A added a comment mentioning User B.
• User B received the notification and click Reply to the notification email
• The To field specifies User A's email address

JIRA 7.3.7

• User A added a comment mentioning User B.
• User B received the notification and click Reply to the notification email
• The To field specifies the mail server address
