Problem definition
Upgrading JIRA with the installer and with the option to back up the Home directory enabled, the process may fail with error CreateZipFileAction. It could be caused by file permission as mentioned in this Suggestion ticket or some corrupted files in the Home directory e.g. attachments.
- This can be verified by compressing the Home directory manually. If there are corrupted file(s), using tar command to compress the folder and the result would be
tar: application-data/data/attachments/JRA/JRA-1234/56789: File shrank by 19573448400 bytes; padding with zeros
This verification method is provided courtesy of vmunier1612780905. Thanks Vincent!
