Description
Issue Summary
If a user creates an issue of type subtask in a project and while creating the issue, if the assignee is set, JIRA would not notify the assignee if an issue security scheme is in place even if the user in question is a member of the security scheme in question.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new JIRA Project.
- Create a group single select custom field.
- Add the group jira-administrators to the field setting this value as the default option.
- Create a new issue security scheme.
- Add a security level and set the security level as the default.
- Add the reporter role and the group we created earlier to the security level as seen below(without the current assignee role):
- Create a new subtask issue.
- Add a member of the jira-administrators role as the assignee of the issue.
The current assignee is already in the notification scheme for issue created hence this should not cause the problem.
Expected Behavior
JIRA would trigger a notification to the user set as the current assignee letting him know that he has an issue assigned to him.
Actual Behavior
JIRA would not notify the user unless you add the current assignee role to the Issue Security Scheme's security level.
