our team has the same problem: tables are broken after saving, or can happen after edit text in the same ticket not table and save, but not always

@Andrew Coyle I think this is a different issue or at least a different symptom of the same issue. The software behaviour that I see happens even in empty cells or when you add empty lines to a table. Still an interesting point from you - might lead Atlassian to the right path.

I've had similar issues using version Atlassian Jira Project Management Software (v7.13.6#713006-sha1:cc4451f)

It seems that if you have too much content in a field with will break table formatting. The content need to then be split across/down several cells.

Some content would also be dumped out of the table, e.g. having a bullet list followed by non-bulletted text. The text gets removed from the table cell and dropped under the table. Sometimes this splits the table apart.

Same here, every Browser I tested (Chrome, FF, Edge) shows the issue. Only IE 11 seems to be working.

Same issue here, not only in the description but also the comment section.
Workaround is to edit the tables in text-mode. But this should be fixed anyway!
Why do I have the "visual" view, if it does not show up correctly or breaks my tables.
