Summary

According to this documentation, WAS, WAS IN, WAS NOT, WAS NOT IN are supported operators for the syntax creator. However, searching with JQL query like creator was admin returns the error

History searches do not support the 'creator' field

Steps to Reproduce

1. Go to the Issue Navigator.
2. Switch to the Advanced mode.
3. Search with JQL query: creator was admin

Expected Results

May or may not return any results depending on the data, but without error on the Issue Navigator.

Actual Results

Error History searches do not support the 'creator' field appears on the Issue Navigator.

Notes

• Creator cannot be changed in JIRA, should we even support the operators "WAS", "WAS IN", "WAS NOT" and "WAS NOT IN"?
