Description
Problem
The problem is related to the wiki fields (both system wiki-style fields and custom fields with "Wiki Style Renderer" renderer) being hidden on the issue create screen for a particular issue type.
A JavaScript error is thrown in web browsers when changing the project issue type via Issue Create screen:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'triggerEvent' of undefined at Object.detached (batch.js?agile_global_admin_condition=true&healthcheck-resources=true&is-server-instance=true&is-sy…:68051)
or
Exception: Uncaught TypeError: j.trigger is not a function
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Kanban Board > Create Issue
- Select Configure Fields
- Set to Custom
- Uncheck a Field that has a Wiki Style Render enabled (i.e. Description)
- Change issue type > ERROR
Workaround
The easiest workaround is to show all the wiki-style fields for issue create screen of a particular issue type:
- You could simply show all fields in there:
- Or just check to show only the particular wiki-style fields (e.g. on the following screenshots "Environment" system field and "MyCustomField1" use Wiki Style Renderer):
BTW Disabling the RTE plugin won't help since the issue is in good old JIRA Wiki Editor plugin, not in RTE.
