Summary

JIRA will not be migrating users from Internal Directory to Delegated directory if the users has comments/assignee/reporting in an issue. Theses users will be copied to the Delegated directory and the users in Internal will be left exist with inactive and [ X ] added next to its Display Name.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Set up JIRA with Internal users that has activities comments/assignee/reporter
2. Set up Delegated connected to it
3. Click on "Migrate users from one directory to another" in Administrator > User management > User directories
4. Process will complete correctly
5. Checking the database will show that these users continue to exist in Internal directory as per the data

Expected Results

Users are migrated correctly

Actual Results

Users are copied to Delegated directory. Duplicate entries of the same usernames will exist in JIRA database

Notes

Users that has no activity in JIRA will be migrated correctly

Workaround

• Moving delegated directory on top of Internal will show the correct users represented in the UI
• Manual cleaning of the Internal directory on the database may be required
