We are using Jira 2.6 Enterprise against SQL Server Database now
We are using Jira extensively for our regular day to dat activities.
To have a better control on the application and to generate more reports and doing a better management we have decided to migrate our backend to Oracle
We also have interest in moving to the latest version of Jira (3.3) and run this agains WebSphere
We need the following inputs from you

1. Any standaed procedure is there recomended by atlassian to carry out the migration. If not we have the following options
a) Replicate the DB from SQL Server to Oracle(through the utilities supoported by oracle and sql server). Install a new Jira 3.1.1 version and point this to the new instance. Jira should work fine from then
b) Install new Jira 3.1.1 and import the backup XML onto Oracle

We prerfer to do follow step a. Need your comments on this

2. once we do this then we will see how e can port this entire stuff to WebSphere
