Summary
Based from Configuring JIRA applications to receive email from a POP or IMAP mail server documentation , it mention :-
Without importing the certificate, JIRA will not be able to communicate with your mail server.
But , when admin choose SECURE_POP or SECURE_IMAP protocol , it still creating issue eventhough there's no certificate imported.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to Incoming Mail page , the configure POP/IMAP mail
- Fill up the information , and choose SECURE_POP .
- Then , test the connection.
Expected Results
Incoming Mail should not work without certificate .
