Description
NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.
Summary
When users try to set up a release version, they can't only choose some months. When the month has been shortened using a dot at the end, it doesn't work. In other parts of the product, like for example Due date on JIRA software this problem doesn't exist.
Steps to Reproduce
- Log into an instance and change default language to French.
- Change your profile to French.
- Navigate to Cog icon > Projects > choose project > Versions.
- Try adding a date. If the month has been abbreviated using a dot (.) at the end, the system will return the error "Please enter the date in the following format: d/MMM/yy"
Expected Results
You can select any date.
Actual Results
If the month has been abbreviated using a dot (.) at the end, the system will return the error "Please enter the date in the following format: d/MMM/yy"
Notes

"janv.",
"févr.",
"mars",
"avr.",
"mai",
"juin",
"juil.",
"août",
"sept.",
"oct.",
"nov.",

Workaround
