Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for your votes and comments on this feature request.
We have analysed the use case and feedback related to it coming to Atlassian from different directions. We recognise the importance of this feature request, but it is not something we will be able to devote development time to. Therefore this suggestion will be closed.
There are alternative solutions available on Atlassian Marketplace which you should consider:
- Tempo Timesheets for JIRA available for both Cloud and Server deployments
- JIRA Timesheet Reports and Gadgets available for Server deployments
- Minyaa Suite available for Server deployments.

Original request description:
It would be great to add a worklog report by user and/or by project. Right now, there's no search filter to do this. For example in time and date search category, add something like "Work logged in previous" "Work logged after", Work logged before"
Also, a Excel report such as suggested in http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-1781 could be interesting to.
