Description
Summary
When attempting to perform a External System Import, the UI will prompt the user that there's a newer version of the plugin (JIM) available.
However, if the user clicks on "Download it now!", he is taken to the UPM with no option to update the JIM plugin from there.
Steps to Reproduce
- Install a fresh instance of JIRA 7.1.6
- Go to External System Import
- The UI will display the message that there is a newer version available.
- Click on the "Download it now!" link
Expected Results
The user can then see that the jira-importers-plugin has a newer version available and can update it through the UI.
Actual Results
The is no option to update the jira-importers-plugin through the UI.
Notes
At the time of this writing, JIRA comes bundled with the JIM plugin at version 7.1.6 and the latest version of JIM is 7.1.8
JIRA 7.2.1 comes with bundled JIM plugin at version 7.1.25 and there is no newer version in Marketplace.
Workaround
- Download the latest version of the JIRA Importers Plugin through the Atlassian Marketplace here.
- Install the plugin by file upload.
