Currently Jira allows creating issues on Global, Issue type and single project scope. We have a number of non-related projects and using the global scope is hence quite tedious. However to make a field visible even in two projects, it has to be made global and then hidden in all field schemes except for the ones for those projects. This makes administrating the fields quite slow.
Ideally each field could be linked to n projects instead of just one. This would enable creating a non-global fields which still are visible in multiple projects.
I understand the current implementation from the software developer point of view (the current model is simple to implement) but from the end user point of view it's quite awkward.
