Issue Navigator Elements are out of view when clicking the comment button

    Description

      Summary:

      The top part of the issue navigator page like the filter name and JQL search options is out of view and there will be blank space on the bottom when clicking the Comment button after doing certain steps.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Access this link
      2. Click on "Return to Search" on the top left.
      3. Back to the Issue Navigator view and change to "Detail View"
      4. Click on "Comment"

      Actual result:

      Note the comment box opens, while the Issue Navigator Elements or the whole top part of the page is out of the view and there's a white border section below the page: The header section of the page with the filter options and the Atlassian/JIRA header is scrolled out of view:

      Expected result:

      Header is visible, Add comment button is in view, No missing/scrolled out filter elements on top.

      Workaround:

      Reload the page.

      Notes:

      • It would not actually possible to scroll up to show the top part of the page after replicating the issue unless the page is being refreshed.
      • The link is actually coming from the URL that is generated after clicking on an issue in the issue navigator with "Detail View"

      Assuming affected version here, since that's on the current JIRA instance at atlassian.com
