Allow existing Core projects to add a board

      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

      Existing Project Management projects do not have the new Core Kanban Boards, whereas new ones do. It would be good if we could add Core Boards to existing Core projects.

      Suggested Solution

      Make it possible to add a board to an existing Core project.

      Workaround

      Create a new project and move the issues from the old project to the new project.

            You are right, this issue is only meant for Cloud version and the solution is only for Cloud. For relevant ticket for Core on Server, please go to this ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-45690 , which has comments from both Cloud & Server customers in regards to rolling out Board for Core projects.

            Hi,

            I wasn't sure if this issue is only meant for the Cloud version, but the solution listed above seems to only apply to that. Our organization is using JIRA Software Server and I was wondering if there was a similar method to have Agile boards for the Core/business projects (or if there was already a relevant ticket for this).

            An update on this, we have now launched Core Board for all business projects. This means 'existing' Core projects will now have Board, not just the newly created ones.
