Order that statuses appear under the Project Summary with a custom workflow

I order that the statuses appear under the the Project Summary section of the project screen appears to be sorted by the internal status id. Ideally, the order should be based on the step order for the workflow.

For example, the custiom workflow that I have implemented has the following steps:
Raised
Assessed
Open
In Progress
Resolved
Pending QA
Pending UAT
Closed

As the workflow reuses exisitng statuses of Open, In Progress, Resolved and Closed, the Project Summary is disaplayed as:

Project Summary
Open
In Progress
Resolved
Closed
Raised
Assessed
Pending QA
Pending UAT

If this was order by the steps rather than the status id, it would be order thus:

Project Summary
Raised
Assessed
Open
In Progress
Resolved
Pending QA
Pending UAT
Closed
