Unable to sort on cascading drop down field

      sql server 2K
      jira 3.0.2
      tomcat 4.1.30

      reproduce:
      create custom field type cascading drop down
      add two parent values, two (or more) child values per parent
      add new custom field to issue navigator
      new field does not allow sorting in issue navigator - column 'bar' does not 'light up' (no mouse-over event), column heading is not html-link enabled, cannot click on column heading to 'sort' navigator rows.
