when a large number of custom fields are added to a project, the result can become quite unweildy. it would be very beneficial to users if fields could be grouped together and displayed in one or more tabs.

this also applies to editing, though one might opt for a more wizard-style approach (since having multiple tabs for entering data on a website is always a bit ugly to implement)
