Enable Issue creation from a SSL Imap or Pop account

      Using JDK 1.4.2 on Linux Fedora Core 2 Tomcat 5, MySql 3 hosted on Solaris DB server.

      Our enterprise email servers only accept SSL connections, so I'm unable to create issues via email b/c the Imap service barfs when trying to make an insecure connection. Will SSL IMAP support be added in the future? Is there a way I can dig into the code (eg subclassing an existing class) and provide my own SSL Imap service?
