      Problem Definition

      Currently, the Create Branch feature in the Development Panel only links to BitBucket Cloud or BitBucket Server (previously known as Stash). The suggestion ticket to allow the creation of branch in Github, JRA-35175, has also been closed as it is not in Atlassian's roadmap.

      It is confusing for customers who would like to create branches in Github instead of BitBucket when they are presented with the option to BitBucket.

      Suggested Solution

      Hide the option to Create Branch in the Development Panel if the on available DVCS connection is to Github.

      Workaround

      None at the moment.
