    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

Stability and up-time are important aspects on a product for Enterprise customers. Often we see one of the feature from an add-on consume large amount of resources causing JIRA to crash and become unavailable.

      Suggested Solution

Having an option to set per-plugin (per-addon) resource limit (and monitoring) to avoid the entire instance to become unavailable due to insufficient resources.

      Workaround

On related cases, the process includes

      1. Reviewing support zip and thread dumps
      2. Analyze heap dump
      3. Identify the problem
      4. Disable/troubleshoot the add-on
