When communicating timestamps with an international team, it often becomes very cumbersome for each member to localize themselves or for the author/editor to include the timestamp in 4 or more timezones.
A markup element type could be introduced that takes a fully qualified Olsen location name, or without will take ISO8601, and automatically displays localized timestamps to the viewer. A presentation informing the user of the original input and that it's been localized could help viewers understand what they're seeing.
Example:
{time:location=America/New_York}2015-12-25 5:30PM{time}
{time}2015-08-12T02:16:39.594928Z{time}

JRACLOUD-44762 {time} markup for automatic localization of date and time stamps.
