      Summary

      Embedding a SWF attachment in a comment or description should work, using the syntax

      !ClearExternalNoVol.swf!

      see example:

      also see example comment below

      Environment

      • Chrome 43 on mac
      • Firefox 37.0.1 on mac
      • Safari 8.0.6 on mac

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Attach a swf to a ticket and embed it in a comment using {!attachment.swf!}
      2. The swf does not render

      Expected Results

      The swf file should be rendered in the comment, as per JIRA comment help: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/WikiRendererHelpAction.jspa?section=attachments

      Notes

      This may be due to the browsers handling of Flash files, we should supply some sort of solution as it is documented that we support this. (The latest version of Flash is installed despite the message about the missing plugin in the screenshot)

      Workaround

      The attachment can be downloaded, then opened in the browser to view.
