Description
Summary
When pasting data to a field by inline-editting , it does not retain its original alignment and paragraphing. Affect IE 9 and 11, Chrome unaffected.
Steps to Reproduce
- To reproduce. Create a Text file in Notepad containing 3 lines, for example
Line 1 Line 2 Line 3
- Copy the text from the notepad file
- Browse an issue in JIRA.
- Without selecting edit, double click on a description field and paste.
- Note the line endings are lost. Repeating the same in Chrome retains the line endings.
Expected Results
- Data should be pasted similar to the format it was copied (holding the allignment in place)
Actual Results
- Data is pasted in the field without the alignment
Workaround
- Paste the data to a Microsoft Office Word or any equivalent application, then, proceed to paste this to your JIRA in IE.
