    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

The following suggestion is provide for your/my amusement, I don't seriously think it will get through but if it does it would be sweet.

The new feature is to have some kind of scoring system for users, where performing some action allocates points to the user.

      e.g.

      • closing an issue within x days = +1 point
      • logging an issue that has already been solved in another JIRA ticket = -5000 points
      • logging an issue that has already been answered in a confluence page = -5000 points
      • logging an incomplete issue = -50000 points
      • logging an issue as urgent, then when feedback is requested, take x days to respond = -500000 points
      • logging an issue as urgent, then when it is fixed, take x days to test it = -5000000 points
      • emailing JIRA without removing your signature, thereby adding a thousand attachments I have to then remove for you = -500000000000000 points

You could use this point system to allow you rank / prioritize issues that are reported
e.g. Bob has 500 points, Sue has -5000 points, Bobs issue gets looked at before Sue's

You could put a flag on the users avatar based on their points level

Points could unlock certain cool features e.g. animated GIF avatars

I'm sure others can think of ways to expand on this...
