    • We collect Jira feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

When a user has access to 2 projects (ProjectA and ProjectB), he will be able to add new labels in projectA and after that, when he make the same operation in ProjectB, it will show that the label is there (clicking on the arrow search button), he just need to add without create a new one like he did in projectA, but doing that operation could be misunderstood by projects admins where they prefer maintain a label related to a project, so any users who just have access to projectB are able to see those labels added by any user who has access to both projects.

So it would be a nice feature restrict labels to projects instead of users in order to have a better permission organisation.

[JRASERVER-43296] Restrict a label by project

You can only do this by creating a different custom field (Type of label) for each project.

Still this Case would be good to have.
On a large JIRA Instance its not that easy to get ALL Labels for an issue. It would be good to have some kind of project only Lables to choose from.

Agreed with the use case above... I have a similar request where I manage 3 projects on my current instance, and we actively use labels for tracking certain elements of the projects. Having an association of labels to projects, would be really helpful, similar to how we can currently map issue types to projects.
