Issue with wildcard operators in searching for issues

Expected behaviour

Search for issues normally or report error in query.

Actual behaviour

No issues appear nor any error message regarding errors in query's syntax. See screenshots below:

Workaround

Escape the operators in the query by adding // before.

Notes:

• Issue was replicated on a clean instance (v. 6.4);
• It happens in other text fields as well (e.g. Description);
• The * causes the same behaviour;
