Summary:
When a soft hyphen
­
is added to a word with formatting (for example ++ __ or **) it will disappear and formatting will work, but if you then copy this word and try to add formatting to the copied word, the formatting will fail.

Steps to Reproduce:
- Open a comment on this issue.
- Add the text
+bug­gy+
manually (do not copy this one).
- Preview the comment.
- Copy the preview word buggy.
- Try to paste it and put formatting around it.
- Preview the comment.
Expected Results:
The word buggy should be underlined.
Actual Results:
The word shows up as
+buggy+
