    Description

      NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.

      When using the default url field the user is limited to paste urls upto 255 characters.
      The maximim url length allowed in browsers is much longer than 255.
      Users are getting an SQL error when they paste an url longer than 255 chars.
      Possible to fix this minor bug?
