Numeric Project ID

      As an IT department all of our Projects & Change Requests have numeric identifiers.

      For some reason JIRA currently prevents having numerics in the Project ID?

      This needs to be resolved ASAP, as know I am not the only person with this issue - it also causes issues as everywhere else I have one project ID (outside of JIRA) - and in JIRA I have to have a completely seprarate ID.

      For example our company standards for project ID are as follows:- YEAR-Counter, so Project A would be 2014-0001 - Could you please advise how I then have a JIRA ID that matches this?
