Release dates in administration version summary screen are one day off

NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.

Administer a project and view versions that are populated with release dates.
The dates are one day behind the dates created in version creation, which are correct. See screen shots.

Please refer to JRA-41422 (linked issue) for additional scenarios where this problem needs a similar fix.

[JRASERVER-41280] Release dates in administration version summary screen are one day off

Since Last weeks Jira update of the Release summary screen, the date displayed on the summary list is one day behind the actual date for release.  This was not the case before.

            What we are now seeing:

            • Edit the version pop up - Release date in edit screen is correct   Ex:  06/22  mm/dd
            • Jira Issues Calendar widget - has the correct release date  Ex:  06/22 mm/dd
            • The Releases summary list page - shows one day behind the actual date  Ex:  06/21  mm/d

Only I go into the edit so the rest of my team has to rely on the summary list page or the calendar which now do not match.  This is creating confusion and needs to be fixed.

            This is NOT fixed!

We're having this same problem on JIRA Software 7.2.4

I can also confirm this is a bug in 6.4.5... The text box has the date minus 1 but if you inspect the javascript it has the correct date...

Can we get this looked at, this is affecting thousands of my users.

            Thanks...

How is this fixed? I still see this bug in v6.4.5

            Hi Piotr,

Will this also fixes the difference in the Road Map screen and the detailed Version screen (pls see the screenshot)?

            Thanks,
            ~ilango

When you go to Versions and release a version, when the modal is displayed, the date is being populated as one day prior than the release date that was populated. So, it could be that administrators aren't paying attention that the date is changing on them when they release, that is causing the day to be one day earlier. The date being populated should default the date that is set as the release date.
