The changelog should be more customizable than it is atm. One basic idea from a users point of view would be to be able to add filters to changelogs. This would cover a bunch of requested usecases to customize the changelog page.

In my case I only want to display external issues in the changelog (aka: those which can be seen by users and are not internal bugs/issues which do not directly surface to the user).
For that I've added a custom field ("Is user visible") which is being set for issues which should be contained in the changelog.

If I could set a filter for the changelog, that'd be all I need so that internal issues are not listed on the changelog page.

Other usecases which could be done with this approach:

      • only list issues with a priority >= major in the list
      • exclude subtasks from the changelog
      • do not list tasks in the changelog
      • etc.
