      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Similar to the earliestUnreleasedVersion() function in JQL, could we also have a generic nextUnreleasedVersion(Project Name, N) which would provide the next Nth version to be released.

      This would help product owners and project managers to scope and plan features and stories beyond the immediate next release.
