is empty JQL does not work for issue property

I have a issue property with this index configuration
<key property-key="request.channel.type">
<extract path="value" type="text"/>
</key>

This JQL works: issue.property[request.channel.type].value is not empty
But this does not work: issue.property[request.channel.type].value is empty
