In Connecting JIRA to SQL Server 2008 documentation, it is said that the database collation type has to be case-insensitive SQL_Latin1_General_CP437_CI_AI. But in other products, such as Stash and Confluence, it has to be case-sensitive SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS.
This setting could lead to problem during installation, upgrade and/or startup. Related JAC ticket: JRA-21506, JRA-37538.
Is there any particular reason we have case insensitive for JIRA and all the other products are case sensitive? We want to double check that it's correct - thanks.
