Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a project with any user as the Lead
2. Rename the username for the project Lead
3. Go to project administration and click Edit Project
4. Change the Project Key
5. Click Update

Expected Results
Project is updated

Actual Results

1. Nothing happens, no error messages as well.
2. Nothing in logs

Workaround

1. Change the Project Lead to an user who has not been renamed
2. Make the Project Key Edits
3. Revert Project Lead back to original user
