This page is just one example of an error that occurs throughout JIRA. The problem is that JIRA first asks for input in a field labeled "Username." Then, throughout the application, it is referred to as "username."

Proper names of data fields should be capitalized and match their first appearance. In this case, proper spelling would be "Username."

Secondly, it is confusing to users when various names and spellings are used to refer to a single thing. On top of this, usability would be served by using familiar English words like "User Name" instead
of inventing new ones like "username." Thoughtless introduction of confusion like this hurts usability and adds to the struggle of using JIRA.
