Given the functionality change in JIRA 6.X to have the permalink require the user to "Save As" in order to pass on the link in an email etc. I believe it would make more sense to have the link automatically copy the link location to the clipboard for the user and notify them that it has been copied to the clipboard. This would be a very minor change, and would allow some to move on from clinging on to the past behavior.

Need to ensure this behaviour works consistently across all of the supported browsers.
