I receive a ton of email daily from the very productive teams that I work with. I love both JIRA and Crucible Mentions, however they are really lacking a sound way to be marked as important by Outlook rules.

JIRA when I am not a member that receives every email in the project:

I have a rule based on the subject "mentioned you (JIRA)"

This is the best case of the four. Because the signal to noise ratio is perfect.

JIRA when I am a member that receives every email for the project:

The only thing that stands out that I was mentioned is that my name "Last,First" is in the text of the email. However when using this to trigger Oulook alerts there are many false positives (e.g. when I am the default assignee for many components).

Crucible when I was assigned on the review already:

Every email has my name in the list at the bottom of the email in the participant list, so my trick with JIRA of searching the text of the email for "Last,First" will be a full reversal of Signal to Noise ratio.

Crucible when I have not been assigned on the review:

I have a rule based on "mentioned you in the review" being in the subject. Similar to JIRA this works very well.

      Proposal:

In all cases simply list in the email (similar to how all Crucible Participants are listed at the bottom):

      Mentioned: Last1,First1
      Mentioned: Last2,First2

This will make it simple for any user to re-route the emails where he/she is mentioned to a folder where she can give special attention with a very straight forward Outlook rule. The information is in the system already so should not be a strain on the system, this is merely asking for a change in the representation of the information.
