JIRA's new start/stop scripts assume that bash is located in /bin/bash.

On platforms that do not ship with bash, such as FreeBSD, a bash port can be installed to another directory such as /usr/local/bin/bash. Stash should add support for non-standard locations for the bash executable.

In STASH-2928, this issue was addressed by using #!/usr/bin/env bash.
