NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Example, @qa would send a notification email to all members of the users in the group "qa".

      That is all.

Not sure it's appropriate to comment on a closed ticket but....

If your email system supports distribution lists (we use outlook), you can create a JIRA user account for the Team or Group and use the the distribution list as the email. eg

            • username = whatevs
            • Full name = Team Awesome
            • Email = DL-TeamAwesome@email.com

You'll be able to tag the group using "@Team..." etc.
PLUS, if you don't need to assign the user to any groups. The account doesn't require a login and therefore does not count towards your user limit

            Works for us!!

No worries! I usually try to find out if it was reported before, but did not find this one. Following it now. Thanks!

            Kind Regards
