While I appreciate the value of the Priority field, we have a few issue types, where that field is not required or desired. We have removed it from our screen configurations for Create, Edit, and View. It is not appearing on the Create and Edit screens, but it still appears on the View screen, which does not logically relate back to what has been configured.
To resolve this disconnect, either:
(1) Designate that certain fields cannot be removed on View screens of issue types (short term solution); or
(2) Remove the Priority (and if this applies to other default fields) from the View screen in complliance with the configuration (preferred solution)
