      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Currently, the format used is [ProjectShortName-ParentIssueId] / [Subtask summary]

      IMHO, it would be better to have [ProjectShortName - ParentIssueId - ParentIssueSummary] / Subtask summary , since the current issue navigator doesn't let users browse subtasks in a tree hierarchy this would be a nice addition.

      Another way to achieve this would be to add a column like "Parent Issue Summary" currently no such column exists in available columns.

          Suggestion - JRASERVER-16589 When viewing a sub-task in a filter the parent is listed as a small FOO-123 above it. That FOO-123 should also have the Summary listed next to it
