When using the "Create Issue" button on JIRA, if it loads with a project that has no Security Level types ("None" is selected) and then I switch to a project that has a single (default) type, it stays at "None". This can cause some problems when expecting the issues to be created with the default type.
Additionally, if the issue creator appears with the protectable project selected, the Security Level properly has the default selected. Switching to a project without any Issue Security and then back to the original also leaves it set to "None"
Ideally the "Security Level" field would reset to the default upon changing projects.
Workaround
As a workaround to users that can't upgrade JIRA to 6.0.6, you can disable the Create Issue pop up screen, which will force JIRA to create issues on a whole new screen that will be completely reloaded when project is changed, correctly loading the default security level field.
